I have a love/hate relationship with April Fools Day. I really don't love all of the pranks, but since my kids do, they expect them from me. I do "harmless pranks", and feel obligated to do that for them. However, every year, it seems that someone still gets upset, cries, etc. This year, I froze their cereal and juice in the freezer and then poured a layer of fresh stuff on them after they came out of the freezer.
I thought that was harmless enough, right? There were some tears. And then when Logan didn't have enough funny pranks to play on his friends, there were more tears. A friend lent him some crutches to use, and then there were tears from Dillon. He wanted the crutches. The boys had some fake parking tickets that they wanted to put on parked cars in the road. However, when they went out and realized there were no cars parked on the street there were more tears. I think I am done with these pranks! And please....remind me of that next year!
