State Fair

We took the kids and Morgan's friend to the State Fair. It was a great day to go! It wasn't too busy, and the weather was so nice. Also- I always come away from the fair wondering where the fair goers live the rest of the year. Some strange people come out of the woodwork at fair time. People who wear crazy, skimpy clothes, or their underwear hanging out, or more piercings and tattoos than I could count. It's always an interesting experience. Or as Camden would say: "That was an experience!" Always fun to go to the fair though.

Camden's first day of preschool

Such a bitter sweet day! I really don't want to send him to preschool. He's my baby! I KNOW he will love it, and he needs to spend time with kids his age. But I want him with me! He has been sooo excited about going to school, though. He picked a backpack, and even his clothes. He couldn't wait to go with Julianna, and could not stop talking about it. He practically RAN into the school, and then in panic, ran screaming and crying back out to me. He was wailing, "Don't leave me!" I stayed with him for quite a while, and then, he was ready for me to leave. I really didn't think he would react that way. When I came to pick him up, he asked if I could just come back later and get him. :) He only goes on Tuesday and Thursday, for 2 hours. I know that's not a ton of time, it just feels like the "end of an era" to me- and I'm not ready to move on yet. That being said, he really is going to love this- and for that I am happy for him. Happy first day of school big boy!

Funny... but sassy 3 year old

Here are just a few things heard from Camden recently:

Said with hands on his hips, "Mom! I am trying a be patient!"

"Mooooom! Logan is trying a choke me! I am totally freaking out!" (I must note, Logan was not even home, it was just Cam and I.)

Camden's version of the Socratic Method
:

"But I am a grill! (Girl) See? Morgan even painted my toenails! Only grills wear polish, and I am wearing polish. I told you I was a grill!"

"You are hurting my feelings SOOOO bad! It's not nice to be mean!" (Said when he couldn't put more polish on.)

"I really need to see someone today." Me- who? "Ummmmm- President Monson!" Sounds serious buddy.

"I am gonna marry Julie in da temple. She's my grillfriend, and we are gonna hold hands." (Maybe that's what he needs to talk to President Monson about. Hmmmmm.... I may need to do some investigating.)

"Let's give these pop rocks to Chloe (his friend's dog). She will think it's totally funny. It will pop her head like crazy!" (Said after he had pop rocks for the first time.)

Yes this precocious boy keeps us busy, laughing, and wondering what to do with him. :)
