Halloween preschool program

Camden had his preschool program this week. It was at a barn and they sang several adorable and spooky songs. It was the perfect backdrop for a Halloween program. There is not anything cuter than a whole group of 4 year olds singing their little hearts out, in costume.

St. George

For fall break, we decided to surprise the kids and head to St. George. We did tell Morgan, because in her "old age", I'm finding it hard to pack for her. However, we kept it quiet from the boys. We picked them up on Wed. from school about 1/2 hour early. We told them they had dentist appointments. However, it didn't take them long to know we were teasing and they were pretty excited to go! While we were there, we went to a bouncy house type place, where they ran, jumped, bounced, played basketball etc. They were BRIGHT red after all of their activity.
Morgan and I went to a movie, and the mall, while the boys swam. We also went to the dinosaur museum, to the temple grounds,
hiking,
and their very favorite thing of all...ATV riding. We had a guided tour, and the boys and Matt all rode in a razor buggy car thing,
while Morgan and I each rode 4-wheelers. We had so much fun! We saw some beautiful terrain, that we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise, and had a great time at the sand dunes, etc.
This is one of the sand dunes- and the beautiful sky. Isn't it gorgeous? It almost looks fake!
We would love to do this again! Even Camden loved it- and hasn't stopped talking about it. The weather was absolutely gorgeous the entire time, too. 80 degrees is perfect! The company was great and I loved spending time with my little family the whole long weekend. Dillon was looking at our pictures, and he saw one of all
of us together.

He said, "Isn't that just the perfect family?" The picture is FAR from perfect, and obviously none of us are perfect, but my family is perfect for ME- and apparently Dillon agrees.

Field Trip

Logan had a big 4.5 mile hike with the fourth graders. They were looking for parent volunteers to come and Logan *really* wanted Matt to come. It was an all day field trip. 7:15-3:00. He is such a great dad! He took the day off work and spent it hiking with Logan in the mountains. I know they both came home pretty exhausted. I know Logan will remember and cherish the time that his dad spent on his school field trip.

Morgan's a big girl!

Morgan has been having some issues lately (headaches, bone pain, 20 pound weight loss.) so we took her to the doctor to figure out what's going on. As we were sitting in the pediatrician's waiting room she says, "There's twinkle, twinkle little star on the walls and the abc's- why do I have to go to a little kids doctor?" Then they called her back and put her in the fire truck room. She sits on the table and says, " I feel like such a big girl now." The nurse walked in and heard her and started to laugh at this 5'8 1/2" girl on the fire engine table. After all of the blood tests, x-rays, etc. They gave her a big girl crayon band aid and a sucker. She is such a big girl now isn't she? :) Btw...most of her results came back good, no tumors, cancer, diabetes, etc. She does have thyroid antibodies, which means she will have to be on medication life long, but we don't know a lot about it yet. She will see a specialist at Primary Children's, where we can get her evaluated and figure out what to do. The pediatrician did say if you have to have a life long disease, this is the type to have, so we are grateful for that.

General Conference fun

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE General Conference weekend. I made a bunch of bags, with a picture of the prophet and apostles on them. They had little surprises in for the kids. When they spoke, the kids got to pick a bag and it definitely helped pique their interest.

My pretty princesses

I am not sure what prompted the dressing up in Morgan's old costumes. However, I had to get a picture of my princesses- since I don't have princesses anymore. Aren't they pretty? :)

Trains

We took the boys to the Union Station to eat, and play on the trains. They had lots of fun looking at and playing on all of the old trains. It turned out to be a beautiful day and fun to spend some time outside.
