Top 5 new things with my kids...

Kids at the park:

Morgan:

1. She LOVES her new contacts.

2.She has been practicing singing a lot- because she will be in the High School Musical drama camp in a few weeks and really wants a good part.

3. She is enjoying her summer spending a lot of time with her cousin Ashley.

4. She loves roller coasters now- and wants to go to Lagoon everyday.

5. She is becoming a great little helper and baby sitter. She is getting calls from some ward members now, and loves it.

Dillon:

1. He LOVES golf. He is in a golf club every Monday, and can't get enough.

2. He loves being a new cub scout.

3. He is a little dare devil, and will ride any ride he is tall enough for, at any amusement park.

4. He loves swimming and jumping off the diving board. (Just 2.5 years ago, he wouldn't even stick his feet in the water at the pool!)

5. He loves bearing his testimony, and does it often.

Logan:

1. He loves doing art projects.

2. He loves golf club.

3. He has become an awesome reader!

4. He loves playing Webkinz.

5. He still loves to snuggle with me often. :)

Camden:

1. He asks "What's dat?" about 1000 times a day.

2. He still wants me to carry him and hold him at all times. (We don't think he will ever walk, because he is never put down long enough to learn.) :)

3. He crawls away every time I change his diaper, and am about to put a new one on. He bursts out laughing that he is getting away naked.

4. He LOVES the water. (Baths, swimming, sprinklers, water bottles, toilets....you name it!)

5. He is learning lots of new words.
Some that I can think of are: All gone, all done, da da, ma ma, go, hi, bye, yay, no, there, Jesus, Peek Boo!, hello, uh-oh, that, what's that?, tock (what a clock says), yum, there, nigh-nigh, down. I can't think of any more right now, but I'm sure there are a few others.

They are all growing up so fast that I just wanted to write a couple of things about them, so I don't forget what they were like when they were little. They are such individual little people. I love each of them so much- in different ways. I cannot imagine not having them in my life and am grateful for the opportunity I have to be their mom.

It's Summertime!

I feel like I haven't had a minute to sit down and update this blog. It's summertime- and I thought we'd take it easier, but it seems that we have been busier than ever. The boys are in baseball and we have games every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The last game is this Wed. though! Hurray! They are in golf also. Which they are absolutely loving. Morgan is only doing piano and singing lessons this summer. I have also just been busy with extra kids always over at my house, and just other general Mom duties.

We were able to take a couple of days and go to Park City last week. It was so nice. The weather was nice and warm, and we were able to relax a little. The kids favorite activity was the Alpine Slide, and the Coaster. They swam a lot, we shopped, saw a movie and had fun together. Matt stayed there an extra night, and then golfed with some friends in a tournament the next day for over 12 hours straight. It was a short, but nice get away.

Chicago

Matt and I were able to take a quick trip to Chicago this weekend. Matt actually has a conference Monday-Thursday, so we went the weekend before, and I came home early. It was so nice for us to get away together. We haven't done that in a long time.

We were able to see Wicked. It was an awesome play, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We went to the Navy Pier, saw 2 movies. (Which we rarely do, because of babysitting issues!) We ate out, shopped on Michigan Avenue, and had a great time.

My flight home wasn't great....It was packed, and delayed by 3 hours. Once in the air, there were too many turbulence, so the pilot flew over Kansas, then down towards Texas, over Oklahoma. While over Oklahoma, he comes on the speaker and says, we have about 2 hours of flight time left. (He never mentioned anything before this, so we thought we were almost in Utah by then.) So I didn't get home until midnight- and was supposed to have been there by 6:00. Oh well- I did a lot of reading. :)

All in all it was a great weekend. It was so much fun for just the two of us to get away and talk. We love our kids, but it sure can be tough to finish a conversation with them!
