It's spirit week at Morgan's school and they do all types of different days to show their spirit. As an officer, she is required to do them all. However, I think she is rocking this look...Don't you? :)

Lego sorry's
Dillon and Logan both were in trouble because they told me their rooms were clean, and they weren't. I sent them to their rooms to clean up, and then spend time in there. They came out after having cleaned up, and showed me these signs, with their sad faces telling me how sorry they were. I couldn't help but take a picture of the ingenuity....even though I'm sure these are the Lego's that were all over their floor....

Mary Poppins

Morgan and I got to see Mary Poppins at the Capitol Theatre. We went with some friends, who have 3 girls. We went to eat at the Paradise Cafe before the show, and then went to the show. The show was awesome! Morgan and I had seen in in New York, so we weren't sure how it would compare. However, while I don't think it was exactly the same- I thought it was really well done. We had a great girls night! One funny thing, I went to take a picture of Morgan and her friend during intermission. The usher comes over to me and starts freaking out the Disney will not allow pictures to be taken in the theater at all. She tells me that Disney will look up my information from my ticket and prosecute me for this offense. Anyway- the picture is horrible, but I am going to be a rebel and post it, just because she said I couldn't. :)

Tree House Museum

I took Camden, his cousin Justin, and his friend Julianna to the Treehouse Museum. Camden has been begging to go and really wanted to go with Julianna. We had so much fun. They played their little hearts out and then we went to Chick-Fil-A afterwards to play some more. I love 4 year olds!

First Day of Preschool
Camden is going to a new preschool this year. He was excited to start at "Rising Stars" preschool. He is going with his best friend Julianna again, so he is happy as can be.

Labor Day
For Labor Day this year we went to Pineview Dam. We played on the beach for a while, and then decided to rent a boat. The kids had so much fun! We didn't have skiis or wakeboards, but we did have a tube. Dillon was not a fan of the tube. However, Morgan and Logan thought it was pretty awesome. Morgan especially was a rockstar. She took a couple of breaks but pretty much held on to the tube for 4 hours straight. I'm sure she will pay for that later! Camden had no desire to get in the water, but did love boating What a fun family activity and what a perfect end to the summer!

New York

Matt suggested going to New York for our anniversary. So of course I jumped because, first of all, of course I would like a weekend alone with my husband anywhere! But second of all- its's New York and I love visiting New York. We left on Thurs. and were supposed to come home on Sunday. I say supposed to, because that is not exactly what happened. I seem to have all the luck when traveling and Hurricane Irene must have heard I was visiting. Because of Irene, our flight was cancelled and we couldn't get on another flight until Tues. I know two extra days in New York seems great, however NOTHING was open. I mean nothing! Not even McDonald's in Times Square. We walked and walked and walked- but ended up back in our hotel room for the better part of two days.
While we were visiting, we saw "Catch Me if you Can." What a fun show! We really liked it. The next night we saw "Spiderman." We had heard how cool it was, and decided to see that as well. The sets and stunts were really amazing, however it still wasn't my favorite show I've seen in NY. It entertained, but I don't think I'd see it again and again, like I've seen some others! All Broadway shows were cancelled for the next 2 days. Then Monday was dark for most shows, so we didn't get the chance to see any others.
However, we went to Chinatown and shopped. We also met up with some neighborhood friends, who were there as well, and ate lunch in Little Italy. We went to a couple of movies, shopped some more, ate at many amazing restaurants, including Serendipity III. One of my favorites! We also took a food tour that our friends had told us about. There are many different ones that you can go one, but the one we chose was the Greenwich Village tour. It takes you around the city, stopping at several "Mom and Pop" type places and you sample the food, hear the history, etc. We saw a commercial for Amazon being filmed, saw the "Friends" apartment, and learned about the "most narrow house in NYC" was on the tour. (9 and 1/2 feet wide- just sold for $4.2 million! Yikes!) We went to Central Park, to Rockefeller Plaza, ground zero and the World Trade Center site, and the WTC museum. There are probably other things I'm not thinking of, but we had a great time. It was so fun to spend one on one time together without a million little interruptions. (Besides the hurricane.)
