Prayer

Dillon is my child that comes up with funny, and sometimes wacky comments daily. He said, "I was thinking about how Heavenly Father listens to every ones prayers, and it's hard for me to understand how he can hear them all, when they are praying at the same time. The only way I can imagine it is, He has a switchboard type thing, and he pushes the button to listen, and he can pause if He wants to hear something better, or move on to someone elses prayer." Funny kid. He always has a different way of looking at things- and I love that about him.

Welcome Spring!

This is the day I've waited for. It's here! Look what I saw today:

There are buds on the "Popcorn tree."

I'm just going to ignore the weatherman. He's forecasting snow for Monday. Today however is 70 degrees and gorgeous. Time to go to the park.

Camden, and the terrible, horrible no good, very bad day

Wow! The terrible two's are here. They are a bit early. Does that mean he's advanced? :)
Today he cried for almost an hour, because I took toothpaste away from him. He screamed and kicked his feet on the ground. I even had to put him in a time-out in his crib. (The only place he can't escape.) He came out happier, and even hugged me for a long time and said, "Sorry" in his cute little voice. Then something else set him off. He asked me to read "Goodnight Moon." So I obliged, until he started yelling, "NO- choo-choo book!" and then he ripped "Goodnight Moon." Farewell book, you have served us well. But then he was mad the book was broken. Later he wanted to wear Crocs over his other shoes, and they wouldn't fit, so that set him off again. These kind of scenarios went on All. Day. Long. And then at bedtime, he wanted to sit with me, and cuddle, and rub lotion on him, and he was so cute. It made me ALMOST forget about his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Almost.

When did he go from this, sweet little baby:

Strep

Strep throat....Aaaahhhh. Morgan gets strep more than any kid I know. She has tonsils the size of China. She gets it several times a year, and colds on the months she doesn't have strep. Unfortunately she also has strep on her chin as well. I didn't say anything when we went into the doctor, and the first thing he says, is, "We need to do something about her chin." It was looking pretty bad. I didn't know you could get it on the chin, so you learn something new everyday. I think I may have strep now too. I get it fairly often, even without tonsils. I can't wait until summer time!

St. Patrick's Day

Leprechauns love to visit our house. We have leprechauns that come every year and turn our toilet water green, and they also turn our milk green. Sometimes they make messes, that the kids swear wasn't them. We had a leprechaun visit today and he left shamrock cookies,

and shirts for the kids. Neither Morgan or I realized until after she got home from school that her shirt said, "The Neighborhood Pub." She took a lot of flack for that at school. All I noticed was the shamrock, and the obvious green. Oops...you gotta watch out for those leprechauns!

Yes- he is...cute as can be.

Toys

I found these in the dishwasher today.

I have a suspicion who is responsible.

It may be this little guy.

Don't let his cuteness fool you.

Good Intentions

I often aspire to be better, to do better, to become more talented in this area or that. My imagination gets going. For example: I imagine I am talented at sewing, scrapbooking, whatever. But then my mind wanders and I think, I need to get some ideas- since I don't know how to do this stuff. So, I start doing some mini research on how-to's. I came across a blog that was darling, and the girl lives in a beautiful tropical paradise. Soon- I've moved on from the projects I desired to learn about, to when can I move to this beautiful country? Yes sirree I would like to drink virgin daiquiri's and take quiet walks on the beach! Unfortunately, my imagination and passion only gets me so far. I realize I haven't learned a thing about scrapbooking, or sewing. And as I look out the window at the snow falling on the ground, I realize I'm about as far from a tropical paradise as I can get. So for now, I will just daydream about creativity, and tropical adventures. I'm not going to worry about filling my home with all that stuff that I don't know how to do. I will fill my home with warmth, and cute kids. (And maybe a virgin daiquiri!)

Fun night

Last night we had family night, where we talked about the Light of Christ and the Holy Ghost. The kids are really starting to understand so much about the gospel. Much more than I did at their age. I made Rice Crispy treats, in the shape of a ghost, and gave it to them wrapped up like a present.(Get it- Hole-y Ghost?) :)

Afterwards, we watched the Amazing Race with the kids. They *love* this show, and look forward to it every week. Logan was cuddled up to me and he was watching intently. Then all of the sudden he turns towards me, throws his arms around my neck and says, "Mom- we would be such an awesome team together. We should do the Amazing Race! We would rock! You could do the bungee jumping and sky diving, and I will the gymnastics and stuff, cause I'm really bend-y and fast!" He has such an enthusiastic personality. I love that boy!

Field trip

Today I went on Dillon's 3rd grade field trip to the orthodontist. He is such a funny kid. He knows a little bit about a lot of things. So the Dr. would ask questions, for example, Do you know what this type of bite is? Then he would show a picture. Dillon says, "It's an over bite. It can cause your jaw to hurt." But it doesn't stop there, he goes on and on about facts of different animals, or how his uncle has braces, or that he went to the orthodontist once, and then proceeds to tell everything that happened at his own appointment. He is an expert apparently. I got a feel for what his teacher hears daily. He is a talker. Gotta love that kid!
