The summer...so far

Morgan was asked to participate in a talent show for the city last Saturday. They only invited 6-7 kids from each group. (Elementary, Jr. High, and High School.) She sang "Castle on a Cloud" from Les Miserable. She did a great job! I felt bad for her because she was saying how her throat was hurting, and I looked in and she had white spots all over her tonsils, poor girl! However, even with her sore throat she did a great job. She loves performing, and does not even get nervous. It's amazing to me, because I am nervous talking in a group of 3 people- but it just doesn't phase her. I love that!
I took the cub scouts in our ward to scout camp on Tuesday. After our fiasco last year, I was not looking forward to it. However, the boys were MUCH better behaved, so it went pretty well. The only problems were boys needing to go to the bathroom, and just pulling their pants down, and peeing in the bushes (I have no idea what they were thinking, since there was a bathroom literally 15 feet in front of them!) and 1 pocket knife injury. So it could have been worse! :) Matt took the kids to the amusement park and they had a blast. It wasn't very busy, so they got to ride a ton of rides. Camden has been asking all day to ride at "The Goon." (Lagoon.)

It has rained almost every day since the kids got out of school, so we are hoping to see sunshine sometime this summer! It hasn't deterred them though. We've kept busy with the Air Force Museum, friends, going to the mall, movies, the fun center, laser tag, etc. Matt and I are also being a little mean, because we are giving them homework this summer. We give them a packet on Monday, and they have to finish by 5:00 pm on Fridays. we will see how that works. :)
This last picture I just had to throw in, because it was Camden's first taste of a popsicle. Do you think he enjoyed it? :)
