"Schools out for summer...."

That song has been in my head all day. (Thank you Guitar Hero...and Dillon.) Dillon was so cute and printed up the words to the song, so everyone could sing it on the bus today.
I was excited about summer, until the kids actually came home today. :) They brought a MOUNTAIN of papers and books, folders, report cards, jackets, old lunch boxes, bags, etc. Now my once clean house is a disaster and I think it is going to take me all summer to weed through this stuff. Really though- I think we are all ready for summer break!

Morgan graduated from 6th grade today. My baby is off to junior high...I remember her kindergarten graduation as if it were literally yesterday. It is so funny to me that, she is getting bigger, taller, smarter, yet the core elements of her personality are still the same. The little kindergartner, who decided at an assembly to teach the entire student body the school song, would still do the same thing today. No embarrassment or nervousness! She sang her little heart out at her graduation today- and it brought back that cute kindergarten memory. She will go far in life, I have no doubt.

I am so proud of my kids this year. They all did so well and have progressed so much. They all had awesome report cards, and got very nice comments from their teachers.
So bring on summer! (And lets hope it stops raining!)
